*disappointed. I went HAM and just couldn't register the output which I'm used to. then I faded on Rounds 3 & 4, even with the big rest. I tried varying my breathing, my feet placement, the damper, changed the rower--nothing worked*

2:04--i almost threw up with 150 m left on this round, so i stopped for 10-15 seconds and then started up again.
Trying to figure out best placement on damper for these short sprints. started with it between 4-5, then last three rounds moved it to 5-6. It definitely gave me a faster time at the beginning of the sets, but i hit a wall around 250 meters and felt like i was pulling through drying cement...

After second round i could feel the lactic acid in every part of my body.

  5. 500m row ME
    R: 8m x4
    1- 1:40.0
    2- 1:46.9
    3- 1:49.6
    4- 1:49.2

I’ve gotten better at holding my place at long distances so it’s bittersweet that I found my weakness at these sprints. Time to attack my weaknesses.

I noticed that when I did very hard pulls at a moderately fast pace I died much quicker. My last row I kept at moderate pulls with a quicker pace and averaged at 1:44 pace and then I began to pull harder and maintained same speed to lower the time, but went down to 1:50s fast. Need to figure out how best to maintain my rhythm for these.

  9. Big nemesis of mine. Feel pretty fuckin good about today despite the first round

A: 1:52. Had a 1:22 pace thru 360m and felt pretty good.(was starting to fade here) Then fell off the rower when I closed my eyes to finish it out. Don't think I could've maintained the 122 but I was certain id beat 1:27.
B: 1:38.2. Went out too fast trying to break pr again. Died around 350 and recovered well enough to finish
C: 1:34.5. Stoked!!! Had pace pegged at 1:34 the entire row. Was able to mentally fight thru this and finish steady.
D: 1:37.1 pretty much the same as above just a little less in the tank.

I have never completed this workout. Although the first round number sucks I gave it 100% of what I had. My only mental mishap was in round 2. I really felt like quitting. I'm excited I didn't and negative split the 3rd round. The 8 minutes was just enough to get heart rate down. I never once laid down. I didn't puke.

    Thanks G.

Is it better to stay consistent or is there range to stay in based off your first row (10-12 secs or something like that?)
